Kangna Ranaut goes sans makeup for Queen

The gorgeous gal will be seen in a de-glam avatar in her forthcoming venture directed by the National Award-winning director Vikas Bahl
Miles away from her popular glamorous image, Kangna Ranaut will be seen playing a simpleton in Vikas Bahl’s next movie titled Queen. The 25-year-old star is a toast of the fashion industry for her enviable style quotient. We have watched Kangy play a glamorous diva in most of her films. But the stylish actor will now be seen without make-up for that’s what the role demands. She will portray a suburban Delhi girl who plans to go to honeymoon alone after her marriage falls through.




To make Kangna’s simpleton character look believable, director Vikas Bahl refused to hire a makeup artist for his production. And going by the first pictures we unearthed from the sets of Queen, we are certain that Kangna doesn’t sport an ounce of makeup -so there are no fake eyelashes, no scarlet pout or a funky hairstyle. Even Kangna’s wardrobe speaks volumes about her simpleton character. Here’s a regular Delhi girl who is all alone on her honeymoon. The massive luggage she is carrying with hope in her heart and glint in her young eyes make Kangy’s character from the film looks real and endearing.

We have seen Kangna play overtly sexy and glamorous babes before but in this movie the fashion conscious star has gone minimalistic. She looks pretty, innocent and vulnerable. Kangy has certainly brought a breath of fresh air with this hatke looking character. We hope that the film will turn out to be equally impressive. Tell us what do you think?
