Sonam Kapoor lands a plum role opposite Ayushmann Khurrana in Yash Raj Films’ next

Sonam Kapoor lands her first movie with Yash Raj Films
2013 is proving to be a great year for Sonam Kapoor; probably her best till date. With two big ticket films already in her pocket including Bhaag Milkha Bhaag with Farhan Akhtar and Raanjhana with Dhanush, the Saawariya actor has now been signed on for one of Bollywood’s most iconic production house – Yash Raj Films.




YRF have asked Sonam to come on board for their next project which is a romantic comedy, opposite Ayushmann Khurrana – the Vicky Donor actor. The movie is set in Delhi, and will be written by the Do Dooni Chaar director Habib Faisal.

And what’s more, the yet untitled movie will be directed by a lady director – a first of sorts for both Sonam and Yash Raj. Nupur Asthana, who had earlier directed Y Films’ Mujhse Fraaandship Karoge, has been roped in for this rom-com.

Now we just hope that Sonam, with such great opportunities ahead of her, can do more than merely smile pretty at the cameras. It’s high time we see some classy acting from the fashionista, instead of her class acts on the runway!
