Deepika Padukone is at her ethnic best in the poster of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Ramleela. It was a dream for designer Anju Modi to style Padukone in the film. But at the same time, she also had to make sure she matches Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s high expectations. We hear that the designer tried really hard to bring in the flavour of the Kutch region in the design. So while she wanted it to be ethnic, Modi also made sure it has traces of a contemporary style. Deepika teams the green lehenga, weighing 30 kgs, with an intricately designed choli in the poster.
The designer is also in awe of the way Padukone has carried herself. Although she had absolutely no doubts that the former model can do justice to any style, but wearing a lehega that weighs 30 kgs is no mean task. We wonder how many energy drinks Deeps must have guzzled before wearing that lehenga, considering it almost weighs as much as she does…
