The two veteran stars from the first family of Bollywood will try to catch their son Ranbir Kapoor in Abhinav Kashyap’s next. But why is the Kapoor scion running away from the two?
The one question Ranbir Kapoor is tired of answering is when he would work with his actor parents – Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor. The young lad has now lapped up a golden opportunity to share screen space with both Rishi and Neetu in Abhinav Kashyap’s next project Besharam. The two will, in fact, be seen chasing their ‘rogue’ son Ranbir in this production.
“They (Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor) don’t play my parents. My father plays the role of a hawaldar (constable) and my mom is a police inspector. I am a car thief. The script’s extremely funny. I have started working on the film but we will only start filming in February. I’m really looking forward to working with my parents,” said Ranbir in an interview to a daily.
Ranbir believes that both he and Rishi Kapoor (or for that matter even Neetu) take up a project only when they all get excited about the idea. There’s no buy-one-get-one-free scheme here. We agree with Ranbir’s sentiments but also hope that given the Barfi! actor’s colourful reputation in B-town, his parents chase their young lad wherever he goes, just to keep an eye on Ranbir’s naughty rendezvous! Right, BollywoodLifers?a
