Khiladi Kumar turns totally romantic as he completes 12 years of marriage today. And do you know what he gifted his beautiful biwi? Read on to find out!
Looks like Akshay Kumar’s upcoming movie, Neeraj Pandey’s Special 26, holds a special place in the Khiladi’s heart. Otherwise, why would Akki make an effort to cut his remuneration to half, or even agree to sing a romantic number for the movie, right? Yup, while you must’ve heard loads about the first deed, the latest task Akshay completed (and how!) was to sing an energetic romantic number on the insistence of his dear friend Pandey.
But turning into a singer, that too for a proper song, was no cakewalk for our adventurous hero. He had to practice hard for about 15 days and do the riyaaz with music composer Kreem for close to six hours a day. Finally, Akki’s hard work paid off.
“Akshay took an instant liking to the song. We decided to shoot a video with him and wanted him to lend his voice to the track. He isn’t a trained singer but he was so well-versed that by the time we recorded the song, it was very easy,” director Neeraj Pandey said.
What’s more, after spending so much time with the song Mujhme Tu, Akshay developed a special liking for it. And so, today, on his 12th wedding anniversary, he wants to gift this song to his beautiful wife Twinkle Khanna. Awwwie! Akki also said in an interview, “I would like to dedicate this song as a Valentine Day’s gift to all lovers,” and made our hearts go ‘hmmm’.
So on this romantic note, we wish Akshay and Twinkle a very happy wedding anniversary. And yeah, now that we’ve heard so much about this number, we can’t wait for it to release. What about you, peeps?
