Why did Shilpa Shetty take three holy dips at the Kumbh Mela?

Shilpa recently visited the Kumbh Mela at her parents’ insistence. And the Nach Baliye 5 judge made sure she took three holy dips. So why is the actor getting all spiritual?

“My plane had developed a snag when it was about to take off, but my friends, the Hindujas, arranged for another aircraft. So here I am,” said Shilpa Shetty, adding, “My parents wanted me to come to the Kumbh Mela and I am happy that I have been able to fulfil my duty as a daughter. I am lucky to be part of this magnificent mela. Though the water was terribly cold, I took three dips. One for my husband Raj (Kundra), the other for my son Viaan and the third for myself.”
