Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi to do Munnabhai part 3 and 4

Producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra has announced that he has got not one, but two scripts to take forward the superhit Munnabhai franchise




It’s going to be double dhamaka for the makers of Munnabhai and also for movie fans! Just last month, Arshad Warsi aka Circuit revealed to us Rajkumar Hirani’s plans to shoot the third part of the superhit franchise by the end of this year. And now, news is that even before the shooting of the third part begins, the makers – Vidhu Vinod Chopra and Hirani – are all set for the fourth installment as well, starring the same jodi of Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi. Yay!!!

Our khabroo says that Hirani and Vidhu were discussing the story of the third part when they realised that it had the potential and scope to develop into a separate film and could be added as a fourth installment to the franchise. While the next Munnabhai film will be directed by the genius Hirani, the director of the fourth part is not decided yet. Reports hint that Rajesh Mapuskar, who was the associate director of Lage Raho Munnabhai, or Habib Faisal of Band Baaja Baaraat fame might direct the fourth one. Reportedly, Hirani will not direct the fourth part but he’ll be creatively involved in it.

In an interview, he had said that the third part will have a real-life setting like the previous two Munnabhai films, and the fourth one might see Munnabhai and Circuit travel abroad for the first time. Whatever it is, zyada tension nahi lene ka… bole toh yeh news toh double dhamaka hai!
