Abbas Ali Zafar is in the City of Joy with the starcast of his film Gunday comprising Ranveer Singh, Arjun Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra. Set in the most turbulent period in the history of Kolkata (then Calcutta) – from 1971 to 1988 – Gunday is about two men Bala and Bikram (played by Arjun and Ranveer respectively) who rise from their humble backgrounds and become the most powerful mafia. As the duo’s notoriety becomes the stuff of legends, people of this sprawling city start calling these two ‘carefree rebels’- in other words, they become Gunday!
In these exclusive pictures, we see Ranveer sporting a thick moustache and long mane. The young star looks dashing and rugged in his new avatar. His unbuttoned shirt and facial fuzz speak a lot about his raw sexuality. Arjun, on the other hand, sports a rugged look which is quite close to the character he had played in his debut film – Habib Faisal’s Ishaqzaade. Priyanka is playing a very rooted Bengali girl. The saree and the big bindi make PeeCee’s character look authentic.
