Nautanki Saala song Sapna mera toota: Why is Ayushmann Khurrana heartbroken?

Nautanki Saala song Sapna mera toota: Why is Ayushmann Khurrana heartbroken?

In this heart-wrenching rendition from the upcoming Rohan Sippy film, you see the lead starcast getting teary-eyed. We wonder why?
If you listen to the number Sapna mera toota, you might not believe that the composition is from Rohan Sippy’s forthcoming comic drama Nautanki Saala. Quite contrary to the mood of the film, this song is sad but melodious. Sung by the versatile Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, it is picturised on Ayushmann Khurrana, Kunaal Roy Kapur and Pooja Salvi.

Going by what we see here, it seems that there’s some misunderstanding between the film’s love birdies – Ayushmann and Pooja. We see the two trying to avoid each other and sulk big-time. Even KRK (not the deadly Kamaal R Khan, mind you) is seen with tears in his eyes.

Kausar Munir’s lyrics are beautiful and Rashid Khan’s music does justice to the composition. Suzzane D’Mello’s background vocals beautifully flow with the rendition and the magical hint of qawwali is absolutely unmistakable. Take a look at this number from Nautanki Saala and tell us if you like it!
