The Student Of The Year star is trying to learn one of the oldest Indian languages and even attending Bharatanatyam classes. What’s the deal babe?
One look at Alia Bhatt and you will wonder if the young star of Karan Johar’s candyfloss drama Student Of The Year can speak the national language without putting in a great deal of effort.




 Alia’s spunk, her dressing sense and her style speak volumes about the highly westernised young lady that she is. But believe it or not, Alia is busy learning Tamil these days!

Yes, you read it right. Miles away from her chic look in KJo’s SOTY, the young daughter of filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt is playing a more real role of a fiercely independent Tamil girl in her forthcoming movie based on Chetan Bhagat’s popular fiction 2 States opposite Arjun Kapoor. We also hear that Alia is learning Bharatanatyam to perfect the moves of a South Indian girl. While the diva is an avid dancer herself, this traditional dance form is totally new to her.
