Gippi poster: Karan Johar’s new young star revealed!

So far, you have only heard about her, but now get set to know the young star who is raring to make her debut with her forthcoming release!
We have heard new age B-town celebs talking about her. In fact, stars like Imran Khan, Parineeti Chopra, Sidharth Malhotra, Alia Bhatt and Arjun Kapoor just could not stop raving about her unmatchable quirks. And now the wait is over.




 Here’s Gippi. After much undying efforts, we have unearthed the first look of Karan Johar’s much talked about production. In this poster, you see debutante actor Riya Vij play the character of the 13-year-old girl Gippi. The 14-year-old actor never faced the camera before but producer Karan Johar is confident that her character will connect with audiences. “Gippi is a new kind of film and it is unusual for us to venture into that space. I hope it gets all the love it deserves. The script took me back to my growing-up years. Everyone has a Gippi in them and I’m sure people will connect with the character, “said KJo.

The film is directed by Sonam Nair who has assisted Wake Up Sid famed director Ayan Mukerji. While Ayan is ready with his second venture, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani with Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor, his assistant Sonam is making her debut with Gippi. The film is produced by Karan Johar.

In this still, we see a chirpy teenager who is ready to take on the world with her irreverence and quirks. Gippi’s polka dotted pajamas, the oh-so-wow expression on her chubby, innocent face coupled with that unibrow raised in excitement make her such an adorable darling.
