Deepika Padukone feels that glamorous roles require acting!

Deepika Padukone is amongst the few versatile actresses in the industry. The actress has done glamorous as well as non-glamarous roles and she says that it saddens her when people think that glamorous roles don’t require hard work or much of an effort.

Deepika Padukone said in an interview: “I think the role is more important. It is a misconception that a glamorous role doesn’t require acting talent. It’s a bit strange, because I think at the end of the day, any kind of film — whether it is glamorous or ‘de-glam’ (non-glamorous) – requires acting. Acting is acting.”

“For example, people think I gave a brilliant performance as Veronica in ‘Cocktail’, but it was also a glamorous role. For me, it is about the role and the film, not glamour,” she added.

The gorgeous actress made her debut opposite SRK in 2007 in Om Shanti Om, after which there has been no looking back for her.

For Deepika Padukone, it is important that not only her role is appreciated but the film also does well at the box office.

Saif-Kareena did not change religion for marriage: Sharmila

Sharmila Tagore has finally admitted that there were no religious conversions for her son Saif and daughter-in-law Kareena Kapor during their wedding.

It was being conjectured that a Nikaah was performed and before that Kareena had to convert to Islam. This rumor was fuelled more after Kareena's snapshots wearing the traditional Muslim sharara of her mother-in-law were circulated in the media.
